There are many front intercooler
options available on the market today. When the Process West
unit was designed we had a few items that had to be achieved
to make it better than any other on the market.
We wanted to achieve minimal intercooler piping length. The
way we did this was to route the intercooler plumbing from
the turbo under the engine instead of over it. By using this
path we have negated the need to replace the factory radiator
over flow bottle , negated the need to bend fuel line out
of the way to make clearance and kept a very neat engine
bay appearance.
On the throttle body side we routed the intercooler plumbing
in front of the engine instead of taking the long route through
the inner guard. What this has also done is enabled the refitting
of the factory engine bay mounted intake chute which directs
cold air down to the new cold air intake system. The engine
bay retains an almost stock appearance.
