Our shifters are made from 4130 Chromoly steel and are tig welded in a precision jig. These are then Black Nickel plated to ensure they last for years. The easiest way to tell if you WRX has the factory short shifter installed is by pulling down your factory shift boot, and looking at the color of the lever. If it is gold zinc plated in color, then you have the STI option installed.
