Subaru WRX/STi Pistons for Ultimate Performance
Your pistons play an important part in your engine’s heat engine and internal combustion system, converting fuel into energy to keep you moving forward. Located in your vehicle’s cylinders, this moving disc works to transfer the force generated by the fuel into your crankshaft, which in turn powers your wheels.
It’s natural for pistons to wear down over time and need replacement. It’s important to keep them functioning effectively to avoid engine failure, as this can also lead to gas leaks from your combustion system, a loss of compression and lubrication, and an increase in fuel emissions. This, in turn, will affect your car’s overall performance.
Here at ProSpeed Racing, we have everything you need to replace your worn-out parts, with a range designed to suit your Subaru WRX/STi. Look no further – we’ve got your performance needs covered.
How do WRX/STi Pistons Work?
Subaru WRX/STi is a revered performance vehicle and workhorse that’s designed to go the distance. Built with quality parts, your pistons contribute to your car’s overall performance – ensuring you can travel further and faster than ever before.
They do this by converting linear motion in your cylinders into a circular motion. The moving discs transfer the heat energy of expanding gases in the cylinder into the crankshaft, which then provides momentum to your flywheel. By removing heat from the cylinder, this will reduce gas pressure and allows it to be compressed a lot more easily, thus continuing the cycle. This then helps to power your wheels and keep your mechanical system running.
We carry a range designed specifically to suit your Subaru WRX/STi. Check out our range below – and if you’re not quite sure which system will best suit your vehicle, get in touch with our team. We’re happy to talk you through our range of options.
EJ20 and EJ25 Forged Pistons
Subaru’s EJ series of engines has been a mainstay in the industry, and with good reason. The EJ series has powered Subaru’s flagship WRX/STi models for years. If you’re really looking to give your performance a boost, it’s worth upgrading your system with EJ20 and EJ25 forged pistons. These are designed to increase torque and horsepower by providing a higher compression ratio than standard stock models.
Our range includes options for EJ20, EJ25, EJ255 and EJ257. These are all ideal for modified turbocharged motors. Not sure what to choose? Talk to our expert specialists today.
