The BNM Performance Fab Single-Scroll Twist Mount Kit is engineered for Subaru enthusiasts chasing serious horsepower. By relocating the turbocharger from the factory position to a twist-mount layout, this kit opens the door for large-frame aftermarket turbos with compressor housings that simply won’t fit in the OEM location. Whether you're aiming for a street-legal monster or a full-time track weapon, this kit gives you the foundation to build it right.

Designed specifically for Garrett GTX and G-Series turbochargers with a 2.5" V-Band inlet and 3.0" V-Band outlet (such as GTX3076R, GTX3582R, G30-770, G35-900), the kit also supports equivalent units from other manufacturers—like Pulsar—that use the same turbine housing dimensions. This flexibility allows you to build your setup around some of the most proven, high-output turbochargers on the market.

At the core of the kit is BNM’s hand-crafted, equal length stainless steel header system featuring a high-efficiency 4-1 merge collector. Exhaust flow is optimized to spool even large-frame turbos with authority, giving you the throttle response and top-end power needed for high-performance goals.

To match the flow demands of your new turbocharger, this kit includes a larger-diameter 3.5" exhaust outlet pipe, designed specifically for use with high-output V-Band turbos. This pipe provides a smooth transition for exhaust gases exiting the turbine housing, reducing backpressure and supporting top-end power.

Oxygen sensor bungs are retained for compatibility with factory and aftermarket sensor setups, and the outlet pipe is designed to connect directly to your OEM-style cat-back exhaust system. It’s a clean, functional solution that balances performance with integration.

This kit is built around an External Wastegate (EWG) setup, eliminating the restrictive internal wastegate and actuator. The result is cleaner, more consistent boost control with reduced risk of boost creep or pressure spikes. The included screamer pipe vents the wastegate gases directly to atmosphere—producing that raw, unmistakable external gate sound that announces your build means business.

Please note: vent-to-atmosphere systems are not legal for road use in most regions as they bypass emissions control devices such as the catalytic converter. If you plan to run this kit on a street-registered vehicle, additional fabrication will be required to route the wastegate output back into the exhaust system. For track-only vehicles, be sure to check your circuit’s noise limits—because screamer pipes are loud.

  • EJ20 owners running equal length headers will need to fit a 2.5L "triangle" sump or aftermarket oil pan for clearance

 

Installation Notes:

  • Gaskets and hardware are not included
  • While factory gaskets and fasteners may be reused if in good condition, replacing all sealing components is strongly recommended to ensure long-term reliability and leak-free operation
