Description
CSF High Performance Front Mount Heat Exchangers for McLaren Models
After releasing the updated Billet Charge Air Coolers (CSF #8352) for the 720S, 765LT, 750S, GT, and GTS, CSF received significant demand for matching high performance heat exchangers. The engineering team accelerated development, and CSF now offers upgraded front mount heat exchangers for the MP4-12C, 650S, 675LT, 570S, 570GT, 600LT, 720S, 765LT, 750S, GT, and GTS.
Some models share overlapping fitment between the two available heat exchanger versions. It is recommended to confirm the correct application with a McLaren dealership using your VIN.
Design and Engineering
The McLaren M838TE and M840TE engines produce substantial heat thanks to their high output twin turbo design. While the factory cooling system is impressive, the OEM charge air and heat exchanger components become limiting when boost or power levels increase. CSF’s bar and plate charge air coolers address pressure limitations, and the matching heat exchangers improve overall heat rejection from the system.
These upgrades reduce intake air temperatures under sustained boost and allow faster recovery from heat soak, with cores engineered to fit perfectly in the OEM cooling pods.
OEM vs CSF
The factory heat exchangers are effective at stock power, but CSF delivers major improvements. Both OEM and CSF cores use 39 cooling tubes and 40 fin rows, but the CSF version uses a 54 mm 2-row core instead of a 1-row core. CSF’s B-Tube technology increases heat transfer by approximately 15%, and multi-louvered fins maximize airflow.
The OEM units use a crimp-and-braze construction, while CSF uses fully TIG-welded aluminum for increased strength and longevity. The outlet tanks include pre-plugged 1/8" NPT sensor ports for more accurate coolant temperature monitoring.
5-Pass Design
The CSF heat exchangers feature a 5-pass flow layout that extends coolant dwell time through the core, extracting more heat per cycle and keeping outlet temperatures low during demanding driving.
Plug and Play Installation
Installation requires no cutting or modification. The exchangers mount directly into the factory pods, and the OEM foam seals can be reused.
Included Rock Guards
CSF includes removable metal rock guards to replace the OEM plastic pieces, adding durability and better protection against road debris.
Model Differences
The CSF #8212 and CSF #8213 heat exchangers fit all listed models, with the main difference being core height. CSF #8212 (OE: 13L0183CP, 11L0375CP) is approximately 5.8 cm taller than CSF #8213 (OE: 11L0241CP).

General Notes:
- The CSF #8212 and #8213 heat exchangers cover all 12C, 650S/675LT, 570S/570GT/600LT, 720S/765LT, 750S, and GT/GTS models. There is some overlap in fitment for the 650S and 675LT models so you should consult a McLaren dealership with your VIN to confirm which coolers your application requires. The difference in the two heat exchanger models is the core height (measurement between tanks). The CSF #8212 (McLaren OE: 13L0183CP or 11L0375CP) are ~59mm (2.3 in) taller than the CSF #8213 (McLaren OE: 11L0241CP).
