Driveshaft Shop Aluminium Driveshaft for Holden Commadore with TH four hundred swap
This aluminium driveshaft is now available for the G eight when equipped with a TH four hundred swap. The unit uses an eight point nine cm diameter aluminium tube and has been thoroughly tested with both the factory rear and the Driveshaft Shop nine inch rear kit. It provides a reliable and cost effective upgrade for owners seeking a trouble free single piece driveshaft.
The kit includes grade twelve point nine hardware with backup lock nuts to prevent bolt movement. The driveshaft carries a one year warranty. During installation the heat shield located above the center hanger mount must be removed to allow proper clearance for an eight point nine cm shaft. Some aftermarket exhaust systems may sit close to the shaft, so a general clearance warning is advised, although test vehicles have shown no issues.
Driveshaft Shop also offers a carbon fiber option made from an eight point six cm tube rather than the nine point five cm size used by other makers.
Important Note
The rear subframe cradle lockout kit must be installed before fitting any Driveshaft Shop single piece driveshaft. Failure to reinforce the rear cradle and limit movement can cause damage to the driveshaft and any related components. Such damage will void the warranty provided by Driveshaft Shop and Pro Speed Racing.
