Description
The GFB SXV Blow Off Valve is purpose-built to give your Can-Am Maverick X3 or Maverick R the turbo protection, throttle response, and sound it deserves. From sand dunes to muddy trails, it delivers reliable boost control while adding an aggressive, distinctive blow off sound that sets your buggy apart.
Unlike many turbo engines, the Maverick platform is not fitted with a factory bypass or blow off valve. That means every time you lift off the throttle under boost, pressure has nowhere to go except back out through the turbo, causing compressor surge. Over time, this can place harmful loads on the compressor blades and thrust bearings, especially on tuned engines running higher boost.
The SXV Blow Off Valve vents excess pressure as soon as you close the throttle, helping to eliminate compressor surge and reduce stress on your turbo. GFB’s proven piston design offers lightning-fast response and very high flow capacity, so the valve can keep up with hard driving and repeated boost cycles without sticking or leaking.
Configured specifically for Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo and Maverick R models, this kit is supplied with a silicone vacuum hose and manifold tap to make installation straightforward when used with a suitable aftermarket charge pipe. The standard trumpet outlet gives a loud, aggressive discharge sound, and also features a 38 mm (1.5") collar so you can fit the optional GFB foam outlet filter for extra protection in wet or dirty environments.
Unlike many generic or cheaply built BOVs, the SXV is engineered for long-term reliability. The spring pre-load is adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune venting sensitivity and throttle response to suit your driving style and tune. Thanks to GFB’s precise machining and sealing, regular lubrication or O-ring replacement is not required.

Important Fitment Note
Installation of the GFB SXV Blow Off Valve (SKU: T9303-A) requires an aftermarket charge pipe with a 25 mm (1") BOV mounting provision. GFB offers a compatible charge pipe for 2020–2024 Can-Am models (part # 5110-BLK), available separately.
Optional Outlet Filter (Sold Separately)
If you regularly run your Maverick in wet, sandy, or dusty conditions, GFB’s 5711 foam outlet filter is recommended. Made in Australia by Uni Filter for GFB, it clamps directly to the SXV trumpet and uses an internally reinforced foam element to keep dirt, sand, mud, and other debris out of the valve. The large filter area is designed to minimise flow restriction so you retain maximum blow off sound and performance.
