By merging atmosphere venting with the proven internals of GFB’s DV+ technology, the VTA improves throttle response, holds boost more reliably, and delivers faster boost recovery between shifts. Installation is straightforward thanks to the compact, low-profile design with an integrated solenoid—simply remove the factory diverter valve and bolt the VTA in its place.

Factory electronic diverter valves rely on moulded plastic components that struggle to seal consistently under boost. Boost pressure actively forces the valve shut, allowing the VTA to hold boost levels up to 50 psi without leaking or blowing open.

Sharper response and faster boost recovery:

OEM diverter valves operate in a simple on/off manner, which can cause abrupt power changes during throttle modulation. GFB’s patented pilot-actuated design allows the VTA piston to open and close progressively, venting only the air required to prevent compressor surge. This preserves boost in the intercooler longer, helping the turbo return to target boost more quickly when you get back on the throttle.
