Upgrading an already-proven design was no small task — but the GrimmSpeed V2 GESI J-Pipe brings refinements that make it one of the most advanced and well-engineered WRX J-Pipes available today.
The original V1 was celebrated for its 3" 304 stainless steel construction, 1/2" flanges, and exceptional fitment. Version 2 builds upon that foundation, delivering major improvements in flow, installation, durability, and ground clearance. This is the future of GrimmSpeed exhaust upgrades — and the first of many to come.
Refined 2-Piece Design
The V2 J-Pipe is now engineered as a 2-piece assembly. This reduces manufacturing costs while offering a huge benefit to installers — no more wrestling with a 6-foot pipe. Solo installations are now fast, stable, and frustration-free.
High-Flow Cast Steel Collectors
- Optimized exhaust flow through precision-cast geometry
- Features GrimmSpeed-stamped branding
- Includes a 3rd O₂ bung for wideband or aftermarket sensors
- Improved ground clearance — +1 inch vs V1, crucial for lowered WRXs
Upgraded GESI Catalytic Converter
All V2 systems include a premium high-flow GESI cat positioned similarly to OEM for:
- Better catalyst efficiency
- Reduced emissions and exhaust odor
- Consistent performance with boost and heat
Real-world testing showed no catalyst efficiency CEL on properly maintained vehicles (results may vary based on setup).
