HKS Oil Cooler Kit S Type for Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ

The HKS Oil Cooler Kit S Type uses a sandwich style attachment with a built in thermostat designed to stabilise oil temperature during spirited driving. The unit mounts using the oil filter for secure installation and offers excellent performance for both tuned and stock engines.

This updated version for the 86 and BRZ relocates the oil cooler core to the inner side of the fender. This position frees valuable space in the front end, allowing the use of GT Supercharger systems, upgraded turbo kits, or large front mount intercoolers. The included air guide channels airflow directly to the core for improved cooling, making it ideal for track use or high output engines.

The BLACK series features a lightweight black mesh hose paired with black and silver fittings. The core layout and air guide shape remain the same as previous models, ensuring proven performance with a refreshed look. The new black mesh hose is 20 percent lighter than traditional stainless hose and is easier to route during installation.

Performance Notes

Testing on a Toyota 86 equipped with the GT Supercharger System Pro at 300ps showed that the factory oil temperature became difficult to control during circuit sessions. With this HKS Oil Cooler Kit installed, oil temperature remained around 110 degrees Celsius for a full 25 minute session without issues, demonstrating stable cooling even under extreme load.

Note, fog lamps and BRZ LED accessory liner cannot be used with this kit. Some trimming of the radiator support and resin cover may be required.
