The IAG 600 Ball Bearing Turbocharger with Wastegate is a direct-fit performance upgrade for the 2022+ Subaru WRX VB VN and Outback XT BT equipped with the FA24 engine. At the core of the IAG 600 is a high-efficiency ball bearing centre section and a CNC-machined billet aluminium compressor wheel (54 mm inducer / 67 mm exducer), matched with a 54 mm inducer / 49 mm exducer turbine wheel. This larger, more aggressive wheel combination moves significantly more air than the OEM turbo, giving your FA24 the headroom it needs to make reliable, repeatable power.

The turbo uses a 9.5 cm² turbine housing and a turbine wheel and housing assembly rated to 1050 °C, providing excellent durability under high exhaust gas temperatures. The housing sizing is chosen to improve flow and efficiency without dulling boost response, so the car remains responsive in everyday driving while pulling harder at higher rpm.

Each IAG 600 Ball Bearing Turbocharger is VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig) balanced to minimise vibration and noise at high shaft speeds. This process helps protect the bearings, improves long-term reliability and contributes to smoother operation under sustained boost.

To simplify installation and ensure precise boost control, the turbo is supplied with the IAG Electronic Wastegate actuator pre-installed. This actuator is matched to the turbo’s higher exhaust flow characteristics to help control boost more accurately as pressure builds. The result is reduced boost spikes and a more predictable, linear power delivery across the rev range.

IAG has validated the 600 turbo on its in-house 2022 WRX development car with a stock engine and a typical range of bolt-on modifications, including an ETS cat-back and J-pipe, COBB front mount intercooler and Redline intake, upgraded in-tank fuel pump, and an IAG-spec high-pressure fuel pump by Nostrum, all tuned through a COBB Accessport. On 93 octane fuel the car produced 374 WHP and 376 WTQ, and on E60 fuel it recorded 450 WHP and 401 WTQ. With a built engine and appropriate supporting hardware, the IAG 600 can support up to 600 BHP at the crank.

The kit is supplied ready to install with the IAG Electronic Wastegate and all required hardware, including gaskets, studs and lines, so there is no need to reuse your factory actuator or source additional fittings.
