Description

The IAG “Stock” Top Mount Intercooler Coupler Kit is a direct upgrade for ageing or worn factory intercooler couplers on Subaru STI models from 2001–2021. Designed to cope with the heat and boost pressure of turbocharged use, these 5‑ply silicone couplers offer a stronger, longer-lasting alternative to the OEM rubber pieces while keeping fitment and routing similar to stock. The result is a more reliable intercooler connection that helps maintain boost pressure and support consistent on-road and track performance.

Constructed from aramid-reinforced silicone, the IAG couplers are engineered to hold their shape under load and resist cracking, swelling, or softening over time. Compared to the factory 3‑ply couplers, the 5‑ply design provides additional wall strength and improved clamping security, particularly important on vehicles running higher boost levels or exposed to prolonged under‑bonnet temperatures.

The turbo outlet coupler is specifically shaped for tight-fitting top mount intercooler installations on Subaru platforms. A moulded clamp holder helps keep the clamp correctly positioned as you install the coupler, reducing the chance of misalignment or slippage. An integrated pry point offers a purpose-designed spot to use a screwdriver or small pry bar, which can be especially helpful when working in confined engine bays, and helps protect the silicone from accidental damage during installation or removal.

To complement the upgraded couplers, IAG includes four heavy-duty lined stainless steel clamps in the kit. These clamps feature bead-rolled inner edges to improve strength and resist deformation as they are tightened, along with a smooth inner liner that helps prevent cutting or scoring of the silicone.
