The vision is for Kelford Cams to be known as one of the best in the camshaft industry, to be recognised worldwide for manufacturing high quality, high performance camshafts for the motorsport industry. We are a small company that, since 1968 has specialised in custom camshafts to suit the individual requirements of each racer. We have a vast knowledge of engine combinations for all types of motor sport and we know how to match camshafts to engine and vehicle requirements. All of our cams are manufactured in-house using ultra-modern design systems and ground using masterless CNC grinders with CBN cutting wheel technology for superior quality and consistency.
NOTES:
- Kelford Cams delete the AVS Variable exhaust lift system,
- Cam kit is supplied with Kelford billet blanking plates. This change requires tuning adjustments because of solenoid removal, email the sales team for a list of calibrators.
Profiles:
273-EZ:
- Stage 1 cam upgrade. Maintains good throttle response and fast turbo spool.
- Designed to retain near OEM low-end power with short, advertised duration.
- More timing at 1mm and higher valve lift improves top end power.
- Suits near stock or modified engines still using the OEM hydraulic lifter.
- Kelford Cams recommend valve spring upgrade KVS236-BT.
- 13hp gain over stock cams, and noticeable improvements over OEM 900 HO cam upgrade. Revs to 9500rpm.
273-A:
- Stage 1 high performance racing cams. Designed for engines making up to 1200hp, ideal for cars using 64mm-72mm turbos.
- Requires KVS273-BT valve spring upgrade.
- NOTE: 5.5mm dowel pin supplied to limit Intake camgear advance to 91 ° when using OEM piston designs, for best results, fly cut pistons for maximum stroke (Please check Piston to Valve clearance).
273-B:
- Drag racing camshafts suited to high rpm power. Designed for engines making 1400+hp using 75mm-83mm turbos.
- Requires KVS273-BT valve spring upgrade.
- NOTE: 7mm dowel pin supplied to limit Intake camgear advance to 96 ° when using OEM piston designs. For best results, fly cut pistons for maximum stroke (Please check Piston to Valve clearance).
