Description

208-A:

  • 251°/251° | 8.35mm/8.30mm
  • Performance cams for near stock Toyota 1UZ-3UZ VVTi engines. Good upgrade for street cars, tow vehicles or jet boats to improve low to mid-range power. Designed to drop-in on OEM valve springs. Retains full functioning VVTi movement. Maintains good drivability.
  • For high mileage engines Kelford Cams recommend KVS1UZ valve spring.

208-B:

  • 264°/258° | 9.60mm/9.50mm
  • Upgrade your mildly modified NA Toyota 1UZ-3UZ VVTi engines with Kelford Cam’s 264°/258° performance cams. These cams work well with basic intake and exhaust upgrades to improve mid-range power for street cars. You can maintain good drivability and still use the VVTi system at its full potential. The cams are specifically designed to work with stock head casting, but you will need to upgrade the valve springs for optimal performance.
  • Kelford Cams recommend KVS1UZ valve spring.

208-C:

  • 272°/270° | 11.20mm/10.60mm
  • Kelford Cams  272°/270° racing camshafts are suitable for modified NA Toyota 1UZ-3UZ VVTi engines with 10.5:1+ compression ratio. To fit these cams, you will need ITBs or a free flowing intake manifold, as well as a free flowing exhaust system. Designed for engines revving up to 8000rpm, and your cylinder head will need machining for clearance around the bucket bores for high lift cam lobes.
  • 0.040″ smaller than OEM base circle diameter, 33mm base circle diameter.
  • Please check piston to valve clearance, will require OEM piston valve pockets machined for extra clearance, or use of aftermarket racing pistons.
  • Additionally, you will need to upgrade your valve spring and retainer to seal clearance modification. For this, we recommend KVS1UZ valve spring.

208-D:

  • 282°/276° | 11.60mm/11.00mm
  • These racing cams are for engines producing approximately 450hp, designed specifically for use under Speedway NZ rules and featuring a 10:1 compression ratio. The cam lobes have high lift, so cylinder head machining is required for clearance around the bucket bores. Additionally, a valve spring upgrade and retainer are necessary to seal the clearance modification. An important note: 0.040″ smaller than OEM base circle diameter, 33mm base circle diameter
  • The VVTi system must be deleted, and Kelford Cams recommends using KVS208 valve spring.

208-E:

  • 292°/290° | 12.00mm/11.40mm
  • NZ superstock stage 2 racing cams to suit professionally built naturally aspirated racing engines making around 550HP. Revving to around 9500rpm. Designed to suit engines built to Speedway NZ rules, 10:1 compression ratio. Cylinder head requires modification.
  • Cam base circle is 0.060″ smaller than OEM, cam base circle diameter is 32.5mm
  • Must use KVS208 valve spring and retainer kit.

208-FI:

  • 254°/264° | 9.60mm/9.50mm
  • This cam is designed for mild turbocharged or supercharged Toyota 1UZ-3UZ VVTi engines, providing improved mid-range power over OEM cams. It maintains excellent drivability and throttle response for street cars, while still being able to fully utilize the VVTi system. The cam is ideal for those using a single 58-64mm turbo or twin 48-54mm turbos or a supercharger such as the HTV1900. It is also great for use with E85 and similar ethanol blend fuels, and does not require clearance of the cylinder head.
  • Valve spring upgrade is required, and Kelford Cams recommend their KVS1UZ valve spring for optimal results.

208-T:

  • 265°/270° | 10.60mm/10.60mm
  • Turbo camshafts available for 1UZ / 3UZ VVTi racing engines capable of producing 750+hp. 64mm+ sizing for single turbo and 54-58mm for twin turbo applications. Ideal with E85 fuel. Note that valve spring upgrade is necessary.
  • KVS208 valve spring and retainer kit must be used for 30+psi boost and 8000rpm.
