The mountune Oil Control System is a motorsport-developed solution designed to prevent oil starvation in 2.0L and 2.3L EcoBoost engines when running a balance shaft delete. Developed by mountune’s racing division, this system ensures consistent oil supply during high-G cornering, hard acceleration, and aggressive track use.

Removing the factory balance shaft assembly reduces rotating mass and improves engine response, but it also leaves a void in the oil sump that can lead to dangerous oil pressure drops. The mountune system addresses this issue with a precision-engineered baffled sump insert featuring one-way gates and diverters that keep oil surrounding the pump pickup at all times.

By controlling oil movement and eliminating surge under load, this system allows drivers to safely enjoy the performance benefits of a balance shaft delete without risking engine damage caused by oil starvation.

Fitment Notes

This system requires removal of the factory balance shaft assembly and will not fit with the balance shaft installed.
