From the factory, Subaru has fitted a clutch delay valve inside the slave cylinder on manual performance models since 2006. While this valve adds forgiveness for new manual drivers by slowing clutch engagement, it also dulls pedal feedback and makes the engagement point vague and inconsistent—especially frustrating when pulling away from a stop.

The OVERTAKE Clutch Delay Valve Delete removes this restriction, restoring a direct and predictable connection between your clutch pedal and drivetrain. By replacing the factory valve and spring with a precision-machined billet insert, clutch engagement becomes linear and repeatable, giving your left foot true 1:1 control.

Improved clutch feel isn’t the only benefit. The factory delay valve allows unnecessary clutch slip, which accelerates wear and can lead to premature clutch failure. Eliminating the delay valve puts you fully in control of clutch modulation, helping extend clutch life while significantly improving the overall driving experience.
