Description

The OVERTAKE Shifter Stop is designed to improve shift feel on modern Subaru vehicles fitted with cable-shifted 6-speed manual transmissions. A common issue with the factory shifter mechanism is excess cable slop, which allows the shifter to move past the 1st–2nd gear gates. This can result in notchy shifting and, in some cases, difficulty engaging gears.

The OVERTAKE Shifter Stop introduces a mechanical limit to the side-to-side movement of the shifter, allowing it to be precisely adjusted for consistently crisp and accurate shifts. By reducing unwanted lateral travel, gear engagement feels more direct and confidence-inspiring during everyday driving.

Designed to mimic the factory reverse lockout, the main body is manufactured from injection-moulded, glass-filled nylon. This material provides excellent strength and durability while avoiding the risk of shifter damage associated with metal alternatives. Each kit includes all required hardware for a simple, bolt-on installation.
