Load spreading Alloy Washers, with locating spigot to underside.
These washers have been designed to increase connection strength & reduce wear on panel holes.
The underside has a 12mm diameter x 2mm deep locating boss, which engages the panel material. The panel connection is better supported by locating on the larger diameter shoulder. The shoulder eliminates contact of the bolt, increasing strength & reducing wear. Simply drill the panel to 12mm to accept all size washers M5, M6 or M8.
The problem we found is that when clamping softer materials such as composites, plastics etc the clamping load alone is not sufficient, the vibration & twisting forces often flog out the hole where the fastener passes through. The fastener thread or shank knocks out the internal hole surfaces.
