With a history stretching back over 120 years Renault have a long association with motorsport winning the first Grand Prix motor racing event in 1906 through to the modern era where they have had more notable success in Rallying and Formula one. This rich racing heritage fuelled the release of numerous fast road cars over the years including some of the original hot hatches like the Renault 5 Turbo and Clio Williams. Since the early 1990’s Scorpion have been producing highly sought-after performance exhausts for these fast road cars.
Constructed from premium T304 stainless steel, the GPF-back system features 76mm / 3" pipework for high flow. The innovative exhaust system has been acoustically designed to deliver a sporty soundtrack which doesn't drone or create any unwanted frequencies in the cabin. Customers can configure the system to their personal preferences with the choice of a resonated (quieter) or non-resonated (sportier) centre section.
Using the latest manufacturing techniques, the GPF-back system weighs less than the OE exhaust which further enhances the already excellent handling chassis. As well as reducing weight, the exhaust increases the Trophy's performance and improves throttle response.
For those top tier tuners looking to extract more performance out the 1.8-litre turbo charged engine can look to include the innovative GPF delete / de-cat downpipe to their setup. It's precisely constructed from T304 76mm / 3" pipework and can be installed directly to the OE or Scorpion system making it fully interchangeable.
