Description

Torque Solution TGV Shaft Seal Kit for Subaru EJ Engines 2008+ using the OEM TGV housings is a must have upgrade. The OEM TGV shaft seals tend to fail over time and leak on the opposite side of the TGV motors. This leads to a pesky vacuum/boost leak. Our kit is a simple bolt on upgrade to fix your current leak or prevent potential boost leaks in the future. Installing our billet plug seal kit before having a leak will just provide peace of mind that it won't happen and keep your EJ at optimal performance.

Important Note: This part does not alter emissions in any way. It simply prevents or fixes a vacuum leak.

Included Components

  • Billet Aluminum TGV Shaft Plug Seal w/ O-ring (2)
  • M4-0.80 x 12 Stainless Socket Cap Bolt (4)
  • PTFE Silicone Lubricating Grease (1)
  • Blue Thread Locker (1)

Installation Instructions

Install Steps:

  1. This process will be the easiest with the TGV's removed from the vehicle. Refer to tech manuals on how to remove the TGV housings or gain access to them.
  2. Once you have access to the TGV housings simply remove the shaft plates on each TGV on the opposite side of the motors.
  3. Make sure the shaft area that the plate was covering does not have any debris, as it may damage the o-ring seals on the plugs.
  4. Use the supplied super lube grease and apply some onto the o-rings on each of the billet seal plugs.
  5. Insert the billet seal plugs into the TGV's where you removed the plates.
  6. Use the supplied blue thread locker and apply a small amount on the threads of the supplied M4 bolts.
  7. Install the M4 bolts securing the seal plugs using a m3 allen tool. Tighten till snug. Do not overtighten!!
