Verus Engineering developed the ducktail spoiler specifically to cover the holes left by OEM wings and to produce downforce by controlling the flow around the vehicle, not on the spoiler itself. This added control helps increase the overall downforce of the vehicle when combined with a larger performance rear wing, like our V1X Swan Neck Rear Wing. When included with the rear wing, we saw an increase of over 10% in total vehicle downforce by including the spoiler, this is a large gain in performance with little drag penalty.
During the design process, we utilized in-house scan data. This results in a product that features a near OEM fit and finish, The spoiler was developed to cover the mounting holes left behind from the removal of the factory rear spoiler. Designed to work on the factory rear bumper, the Carbon Rear Spoiler installs easily with 3M VHB to ensure a strong hold that will last for years to come.
