We got you covered with our Rear Billet diff insert kit. This is pressed into the factory bushing and fills the voids in the bushing. This keeps the stock bushing ride compliance but removes any unwanted movement. These are sold as a kit. To install remove the rear diff bushing, use the stock bolt in press the bushing in, and then replace it with the new bolt washer, and lock nut!
VTT Billet BMW Transfer Case Bushing Inserts
Soft bushings are the enemy of launching hard, and keeping your drivetrain together. The BMW Transfer Case bushings are notoriously soft, and that is the opposite of what you want when launching a car hard. You can replace the bushing with a solid one, but this is time-consuming usually requires lowering or removing the transfer case, and results in a lot of added NVH. The best path is simply to reduce the amount of flex of the factory bushing so you keep the nice manners when cruising around town, and at idle, but when it's time to launch the transfer case cannot move as it could without the insert.
